The BMF is recognised as the one and only voice of the UK boating industry and represents over 1500 member’s interests to Government at every level in Whitehall and Brussels.  BMF members are fully informed of all issues that can have an effect on marine businesses through a weekly newsletter, ‘British Marine News’ sent out by email, and have the opportunity to influence decisions through the consultation processes.

The BMF subsidiary National Boat Shows Ltd operates two Boat Shows in the UK that provide a showcase for the marine industry:-

The British Marine Federation – East Anglia is the BMF Eastern regional association and has the prime objective of promoting and protecting the interests of all marine based industries in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in all around 300 member companies.

The aims of BMF-EA are to

  • Represent the interests of the marine industry at local level
  • Represent our members interests within the democracy of the National Federation
  • Provide necessary and relevant training in European and International regulations
  • Provide information to members on matters affecting local marine businesses
  • Provide an active marine business forum within the region

BMF-EA aims to advance the profile of all its members and the boating industry in general in the region, nationally and where appropraite, internationally.
